We provide the boats, guides and necessary equipment. You pack your bags and get yourself to Fort Lauderdale. We’ll help take care of the adventure from there.

Our private Iguana Hunts are $600 per boat for up to 3 sportsmen.

A $150 deposit per boat reserves your boat and guide, with the remaining balance due the day of your charter.

Our regular departure times are 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

The easiest way to see available dates and times is through our online reservation calendar. Availability is updated in real time, so if you see the date and time you want available, you can reserve it right there.

We provide the necessary equipment for your hunting and fishing adventure, including boats, guides, fuel and hunting equipment.

For our Iguana Hunts, we provide scoped air rifles, pellets and air.

For Peacock Bass Fishing, bait and the required Florida freshwater fishing license are not included. Our Pro Staff can help explain where to purchase bait, and we’ll provide information on obtaining your fishing license.

We’ve taken our love of air rifles to another level. You’ll hunt South Florida’s invasive green iguanas using powerful, scoped precision air rifles.

These are fast shooting, accurate rifles, and if you’ve never experienced an air rifle hunt before, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll be hooked when it’s over.

The best time to hunt Iguanas in South Florida is when you’re here!

We hunt Iguanas year round from January through December.

South Florida’s tropical climate supports a tremendous Iguana population, and our guides adjust the hunt based on weather, temperature and current Iguana activity.

Yes, and that’s one of the things that makes our hunts so unique.

We hunt primarily from 21 foot tournament style bass boats. These boats provide a stable shooting platform and allow us to reach areas where Iguanas thrive.

At times, your guide may choose to do some spot and stalk hunting from land when conditions and safety allow. The guide will determine the best approach for the location you’re hunting that day.

A typical shot on one of our Iguana Hunts is approximately 25 yards, plus or minus 5 yards.

Conditions can vary, so some shots may be closer and others farther.

Absolutely.

Your air rifle must be .22 caliber or larger and no larger than .30 caliber, and it needs to meet our minimum power requirements for a humane harvest.

If you’re traveling and don’t want the hassle of bringing your own rifle, don’t worry about it. We provide the guns, ammunition and air.

Our rifles are scoped and sighted in for the hunt.

We’re trophy hunters, not a nuisance pest removal service.

Every hunt is different because these are wild animals and there are no guarantees on numbers. Our guides work hard to maximize your hunting time and put you in areas with good current Iguana activity.

Our goal is quality hunting, good shooting opportunities and an experience you’ll be talking about long after you leave Florida.

Absolutely, and our guides greatly appreciate it.

A gratuity of approximately 20% of the charter price is customary for a guide who has provided you with a great experience.

Our guides work hard to put you on game or fish, keep everyone safe and make your South Florida adventure one you’ll remember.

Our Peacock Bass trips are freshwater fishing adventures, not offshore fishing.

We fish the canals, lakes and tributaries of South Florida and the Everglades region. These are generally protected, calm waters and provide a completely different experience from sitting offshore in rolling seas.

Yes.

Anyone who is required by Florida law to have a fishing license will need a Florida freshwater fishing license for our Peacock Bass trips.

We’ll provide information and a link on purchasing the appropriate Florida freshwater fishing license when your reservation is confirmed.

Florida fishing regulations determine current size and bag limits for Peacock Bass.

Because regulations can change, we recommend checking the current Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission regulations before your trip. Your guide will also help make sure your group follows current regulations while you’re on the water.

Your boat, guide, fuel and necessary fishing equipment are included.

Live bait and your Florida freshwater fishing license are not included.

Our Pro Staff can help you locate bait before your trip and provide information on obtaining your fishing license.

Current Regulations: In Florida, the daily bag limit for butterfly peacock bass is 2 fish per angler, and only 1 of those can be 17 inches or longer in total length. There is no minimum size limit, but it is strictly illegal to kill or possess speckled peacock bass, which must be released alive immediately

We fish for Peacock Bass throughout the year.

During the hotter summer months, we generally recommend our morning fishing trips when possible. Getting on the water earlier can provide more comfortable conditions and often better fishing before the heat of the day sets in.

Your guide will adjust the trip based on current weather and fishing conditions.

If you’ve never experienced bowfishing after dark, you’re in for something completely different.

Our Nighttime Bowfishing trips take you onto South Florida’s freshwater waterways after sunset. Specialized lights illuminate the water while you use bowfishing equipment from the boat.

It’s hunting, fishing and shooting rolled into one adrenaline pumping nighttime adventure.

Yes.

We provide the necessary bowfishing equipment for the trip. Your guide will explain how everything works and help first timers get comfortable before the action starts.

Guests participating in our guided Nighttime Bowfishing trips do not currently need to purchase an additional license for the trip.

We’ll let you know if there are ever any changes to the requirements that affect your reservation.

Absolutely.

A lot of our customers have never bowfished before they come out with us.

Your guide will show you the equipment, explain how to aim into the water and help you get started.

Dress comfortably for South Florida weather.

We recommend:

Solid, comfortable shoes for Iguana retrievals.

Lightweight clothing, especially during the summer months.

A hat and sunglasses.

Sunscreen.

Lightweight long sleeve UV protective shirts are especially helpful during the hotter months.

Absolutely.

A small cooler with drinks and snacks is fine.

Alcohol consumption is not permitted on our boats.

Save the cold beer or cocktail for when you’re safely back on land and telling everybody about the one that got away.

Unfortunately, no.

We love our four legged friends too, but our boats don’t have sufficient room or proper reboarding accommodations to safely carry dogs during these trips.

No Florida hunting license is currently required for guests participating in our guided Iguana Hunts.

Iguanas are an invasive species in Florida, and our guides conduct hunts in areas where we have authorization to operate.

Yes.

If you’re participating in our Peacock Bass fishing charter and are required by Florida law to be licensed, you’ll need a Florida freshwater fishing license, 3-day permit is currently $17 for nonresident and resident.

We’ll provide information on purchasing your license after your reservation is made.

Our guests do not currently need to obtain a separate hunting permit for our guided Iguana Hunts.

We handle the locations and access associated with the guided hunt. All you need to do is show up ready for an adventure and follow your guide’s safety instructions.

Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport is generally the most convenient airport for our charters.

Miami International Airport is another option.

Since all of our hunts and fishing charters take place throughout the greater Fort Lauderdale area, Fort Lauderdale is usually the easiest choice.

Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding communities give you plenty of choices.

Some areas to consider include:

These areas offer plenty of hotels, vacation rentals, restaurants and things to do when you’re not hunting or fishing.

We hunt multiple locations and zones throughout the Fort Lauderdale area.

We do not select your exact hunting location until the evening before your charter. This allows our guides to choose the area we believe will provide the best opportunity based on recent hunting activity and current conditions.

Your guide will contact you the evening before your trip with a GPS meeting location and any additional instructions.

For a general idea of the area, you can search for Markham Park or Veterans Park. These are two areas we frequently hunt, although your actual meeting location may be somewhere else within our 5 different hunting zones.

We recommend renting a vehicle if possible because it makes getting around South Florida considerably easier.

Uber and other rideshare services can also work, but remember that your exact meeting location won’t be determined until the evening before your charter.

And yes, we’ve even had sportsmen use a U Haul pickup when rental cars were hard to find. When there’s a will, there’s a way!

Because we use multiple hunting zones, travel time depends on where you’re staying and which location your guide selects.

If you’re staying in the greater Fort Lauderdale area, we recommend planning for the possibility of approximately 45 minutes to an hour of travel to some of our farther locations. Other hunting zones may be considerably closer.

We keep our groups small for safety, comfort and a better experience.

We currently operate four boats.

Most of our boats accommodate up to 3 sportsmen plus the guide. Depending on the specific boat and charter configuration, capacity may vary.

For larger groups, we can use multiple boats and keep your group together throughout the adventure.

Simple: safety, comfort and a better hunt.

Our boats have weight and capacity limitations that include the passengers, guide and all equipment aboard.

Three sportsmen plus a guide already makes for a full hunting boat. Cramming additional hunters aboard doesn’t make the experience better, and having too many people trying to shoot the same target isn’t something we’re interested in doing.

We’d rather add another boat and give everybody room to safely enjoy the hunt.

Yes.

Our hunting and fishing charters are private trips, so you’re not being mixed together with random customers.

When you reserve your boat, it’s your group’s adventure with your guide.

We operate tournament style bass boats designed for South Florida’s freshwater waterways.

These boats provide a stable platform for hunting and fishing while allowing our guides to access the canals and waterways where the action is.

Yes.

If you’d like to take meat from your hunt, bring a cooler with ice and some one gallon freezer bags.

We can help cut and quarter the legs and tails. Final cleaning and preparation is up to you and, for a lot of sportsmen, that’s part of the experience.

Many of our guests do.

A small hard sided cooler can work well. You can use it for drinks and snacks during your trip and then freeze your packaged meat before traveling home.

If you’re flying, always check your airline’s current rules regarding frozen food, coolers and dry ice before heading to the airport because airline requirements and fees can vary.

Absolutely.

If you’re interested in a full body Iguana mount, we recommend making arrangements with a taxidermist before your hunt so you’ll know exactly how they want the animal handled and shipped.

Fish and Iguana mounts are available.

All taxidermy arrangements, pricing, shipping and payment are handled directly between the sportsman and the taxidermist. Our guides can arrange for delivery of your Iguana or Fish to the taxidermist .

Your deposit reserves your boat, guide, date and time.

The remaining balance is due according to the terms shown with your reservation.

Deposits are non refundable but remain available according to the terms of our cancellation and rescheduling policy.

We understand that sometimes plans change.

Because our guides, boats and time slots are reserved specifically for your group, our hunting and fishing charters require advance notice for changes.

Please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to make a change to your reservation.

Cancellations, no shows or changes made inside the applicable cancellation window may result in the loss of payments or additional rebooking fees according to the terms of your reservation.

Please review the cancellation policy provided during booking for the complete terms that apply to your specific charter.

South Florida weather can change quickly, and a forecast showing rain doesn’t necessarily mean your trip will be canceled.

Our guides know these waters and local weather patterns. If conditions are safe and suitable for the charter, we normally proceed.

If we determine conditions are unsafe or we’re unable to operate your charter because of weather or another circumstance outside our control, we’ll work with you according to the terms of your reservation.

Please don’t cancel your trip based solely on a weather app or forecast without speaking with us first.

Trip Protection is an optional add on offered per booked item.

If you’re booking multiple adventures, such as an Iguana Hunt and Peacock Bass Fishing trip, Trip Protection must be selected separately for each item you want protected.

Trip Protection is subject to the terms provided at checkout, so please review those terms when making your reservation.

Absolutely.

If someone in your group can’t make the trip, you can substitute another guest.

Every participant must complete the required electronic liability waiver before participating. A link to the waiver will be provided with your reservation information.
